About Us2022 One Act Competition Awards (The Terezin Promise)
Accomplishments
The North Paulding Theater Company has been producing high-quality theater since the school's establishment in 2007. The program offers four classes students can take that count as electives, those being Intro to Theater, Intermediate, Advanced Drama, and Advanced Musical Theater. Each of the Advanced level classes produces at least one show per semester. Intro Theater and Intermediate must be taken as a prerequisite before a student can take either Musical Theater or Advanced Drama. Students can actually take both Advanced Drama and Advanced Musical Theater at the same time, based on their scheduling availability. Not only does the theater program here at North offer four separate classes that students can take as their electives, but we also offer a wide variety of extracurricular performance opportunities, including our fall One-Act Play and the Spring Musical. We also offer our chapter of International Thespian Society, Troupe 7746, having over 40 members, making it one of the largest merit-based after-school activities on campus! Alumni of Troupe 7746 have gone on to perform at various colleges, such as Long Island University, Columbus State University, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, and many more! We also had 2 of our current members, Zach Parsons and Bobby Gillespie, be selected out of hundreds of students to perform at the 2023 Georgia Thespian Conference at the Bill Heard Theater in Columbus, Georgia! Students interested in joining theater should talk with their counselor about adding Intro to their schedule. If you have any questions, please come see Mrs. Bishop in the theater!
